No, because he forgets the Book of Revelation: where are the 2 witnesses in sackcloth in Jerusalem with power to bring fire down or stop rain? Where are the 144,000 evangelicals going around the world or the angels in the sky saying don’t take the mark? I pastor in Oklahoma & teach a lot on Eschatology. Something about the Abraham Accords got my attention several years ago. I was watching a speech given by Jared Kushner and I noticed behind him a banner that read, Peace & Security. Obviously my mind instantly went to 1 Thessalonians 5:3. Since then I began looking at events that were taking place in our world and have been saying it’s very possible that Daniel’s final (70th) week began in 2020, or perhaps in the fall of 2019. Another issue that has gotten my attention was the official date of first detection of COVID-19 was November 17, 2019 and the pandemic ended May 5, 2023 which is 3.5 years (1,265 days - very close to 1,260 days). I don’t think the 70th Week of Daniel has to be a straight run, it most certainly can be broken up into 3 period, or as stated in Daniel time, half time, and dividing of time. A lot of interesting things have been happening in our world ever since 2020 and I’m inclined to believe similarly to Dr. Widener. I am a firm believer that most Christian’s will not even realize the season we are in… the majority of the church will be caught off guard… things will appear to be normal, business as usual, marrying, eating and drinking, etc. That’s why we must be watching and looking and staying alert.

Except you can plot the timing of the gospel accounts. Using all the “…two days later…” “…on the feast of…” “…they stayed there __ days…” you can plot out Jesus’ ministry from baptism to Pentecost was 490 days exactly.

I’ve been watching closely for years and are always shocked to see that much is happening in plain sight and we miss it. The land of Israel has been divided since 1948. The Temple Mount and golden gates have always been there. God put an end to the sacrifice in 70 AD. King Herod expanded the Temple Mount to make a court for the gentiles as a prophesy that God was about to bring in the gentiles. So much is hidden in plain sight. I think God also gives prophecies in a way that has mystery because the evil one will be less able to interpret the exact details, thus it helps protect Gods people…we HAVE the HOLY SPIRIT, and that helps us believers understand things in his Word, and to search out and understand HIS mysyeries. (But satan DOES NOT have Holy Spirit, nor is he all-knowing,) but God is!!
